Refund Policy Overview

At Videoyards, our refund policy varies by purchase type. Monthly subscription plans are non-refundable. Our Chrome extension is provided completely free of charge with no purchases required. We have implemented this policy to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining fair business practices for our digital services.

Important: Monthly subscription payments cannot be refunded. However, you may cancel your subscription at any time and will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. By proceeding with any purchase on our platform, you acknowledge and agree that you understand this refund policy and accept its terms.

Fair Use Policy

To ensure fair usage of our 3-day refund policy, the following conditions apply:

  • Export Limit: If you export more than 3 videos within the 3-day refund period, you will not be eligible for a refund. This policy is in place to prevent misuse of the service.
  • Commercial Use Restriction: Videos created during the refund period cannot be used for commercial purposes if a refund is requested. This includes, but is not limited to, selling, licensing, or using the videos for business promotion.
  • Sharing Restriction: Videos created during the refund period cannot be shared publicly, distributed, or published anywhere if a refund is requested. This includes social media platforms, video hosting sites, or any other public forums.

Important: By requesting a refund, you agree that any videos exported during the refund period were for evaluation purposes only and will not be used commercially or shared publicly. Violation of this fair use policy may result in denial of current and future refund requests and potential termination of account access.

Free Tier Evaluation

Videoyards offers a comprehensive free tier that provides access to most core features of our platform. This free tier is designed specifically to allow users to:

  • Test the platform's functionality and performance
  • Evaluate if our service meets your specific requirements
  • Experience the user interface and workflow
  • Determine if the premium features justify an upgrade

We strongly encourage all users to thoroughly test our free tier before making any purchase decision. The primary differences between our free and paid tiers are the unlimited export time and the addition of webcam and microphone integration capabilities.

Chrome Extension Policy

Our Chrome extension (Screen Recorder with Custom Cursor & Auto Zoom) is provided completely free of charge. There are no purchases, subscriptions, or fees associated with the Chrome extension itself.

Extension Features and Limitations

The Chrome extension includes:

  • Screen recording with custom cursor effects
  • Auto-zoom functionality based on cursor movement
  • Camera and microphone integration
  • Local processing of all recording data
  • Optional integration with your Videoyards dashboard

Current beta limitations include:

  • 5-minute recording limit per session
  • Limited browser compatibility for some features

No Refunds Required

Since our Chrome extension is completely free, no refund policy applies to the extension itself. Users can install, use, and uninstall the extension at any time without any financial obligations.

Website Subscription and One-Time Purchases

Our refund policy differs based on the type of purchase:

  • Monthly Subscription Plans: No refunds are provided for monthly subscription plans. However, you may cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you will retain full access to all Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your subscription will not renew, and you will be downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle.
  • Subscription Cancellations: Users may cancel their monthly subscription at any time through their account settings or by contacting our support team. Cancellation will prevent future billing but does not generate a refund for the current billing period. You will continue to have access to all Pro features until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Important: Monthly subscription payments are non-refundable. By subscribing to a monthly plan, you acknowledge that you understand this policy and agree that no refunds will be issued for monthly subscription fees, regardless of when you cancel.

Why Taxes Are Deducted from Refunds

When you make a purchase on our platform, we collect and remit applicable taxes (such as sales tax, VAT, or GST) to the appropriate tax authorities as required by law. These taxes are not retained by Videoyards but are forwarded to government agencies on your behalf.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Monthly subscription plans are non-refundable. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel your subscription, please follow these steps:

  • Include your account email address
  • Specify that you want to cancel your subscription

Important: When you cancel your monthly subscription, you will retain full access to all Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After the billing period ends, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free plan. No refunds will be issued for the current billing period.

Additional Refund Considerations

In addition to our standard 3-day refund policy, we may also consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances, even beyond the 3-day period:

  • Technical Failure: If you experience a persistent technical issue that our support team verifies and is unable to resolve within a reasonable timeframe, preventing you from using core features of the service.
  • Billing Errors: If you have been incorrectly charged or double-billed for a service.
  • Service Unavailability: Extended service outages that significantly impact your ability to use the platform during your subscription period.
